	NAME: "COMMUNAL HYDROELECTRIC ENTERPRISE OF POPULAR BASE OF VATSOUNIA KARDITSA SOCIETE ANONYME" TITLE: "YDROILECTRIKI S.A." ADDRESS: VATSOUNIA, MUNICIPALITY OF MOUZAKI, KARDITSA 43060 GREECE
The Community of Vatsunia (now Municupality of Mouzaki) located in the region of Κarditsa, along with 84 of her residents founded the "Company of Popular Base - HYDROELECTRIKI S.A." for the production of electricity through the exploitation of waters, which afterwards are used for the irrigation of the cultivated land. Electricity is sold directly to the Public Power Corporation (Δ.Ε.Η.) according to the legal framework and the resulting revenues this investment provides an important income for the Community and its shareholders.
	The installed capacity of the station is 600 KW. The electric power is sold to the "Public Power Corporation" and is transferred to the Mouzaki power exchange station through a wire network paid by the company. In the "HYDROELECTRIKI S.A." the 84 residents of the Community hold a total of 65% of the capital, each one with percentage smaller than 2%, and the Community holds 35%. This shareholder denomination is the legal set up of a Popular Base Community Company.
The expected production of electric power from the hydroelectric power station on a daily basis is 12.240 kWh while annually it is aproximately 3.980.000 kWh, depending on the availability of water. The electric power station was build during years 1998 and 1999. The final works were realised in year 2000, when the station was placed in operation. The total cost of investment amounted to the sum 900.895,08 €.
